Macerata lies on a hill at 313 meters above sea level between Potenza and Chienti valleys. The city is located between the sea and the mountains, 30 km far from the Adriatic Sea and the wild Conero beaches, and approximately one hour driving from the National Park of Monti Sibillini.
The heart of the city is Piazza della Libertà, where we can find the City Hall, the renaissance Palace of the Prefecture, the Civic Tower, the Lauro Rossi theatre, San Paolo's church, the Loggia dei Mercanti and the Palazzo Buonaccorsi, within walking distance of our Hotel.
Macerata is also "green"! In 2016 reached the highest step of the podium leading the national ranking of the XXIII edition of Ecosistema Urbano, the annual report of Legambiente on the environmental livability of the Italian provincial capitals, realized with the scientific collaboration of Ambiente Italia and the editorial contribution of Il Sole 24 Ore.
On September 15, 2017 Macerata has been officially nominated as the "Italian Capital of Culture 2020".
